Our History and Future
Hamilton has a rich history and a bright future. Founded in 1804 along the Roanoke River, Hamilton was a key port town for many decades.
In recent years, the town has undergone a revitalization campaign to attract new residents and businesses, expand services offered to citizens and become a proactive leader in community awareness and involvement.

We are dedicated to open, effective, and progressive government that values the opinion of all stakeholders. Come join our beautiful town and see all that we have to offer! Town meetings are usually held on the First Thursday of the month at Town Hall chambers, beginning at 7 PM. The public is welcome to attend.

Stop in between regular business hours to make your payment. We accept cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard) or checks/money orders. For your convenience, Please feel free to use our dropbox for after hours payments. Do not place cash in the drop box!
